Swim, swim...
After an hour in the pool, and 1900m later, I spoke with my grandma. She's in great spirits, and just had her fourth chemo. Tomorrow, she'll go to the doctor to have some follow up blood work and testing. Then, in a few weeks, she's off to St. Louis to see the doctor about her stem cell transplant. If all goes as planned, the transplant will happen in mid-February. Yea!
Between all the doctor visits, Grandma Lila has been keeping busy with her usual projects. She and her partner Cec spent the morning scrapbooking pictures of her farmhouse. But now she's taking her afternoon nap.
I was telling her about my new bike and how it's strange readjusting to riding a road bike, all bent over on the handlebars. The swim and run of the triathlon seem duable, but the 25 mile bike is a bit daunting. But my grandma seems convinced that I'll be fine. And she's probably right.
